Musings

In this body of work, I became interested in the human image and how artists have represented it throughout the ages.

As I pondered the question of what a model or Muse represented, I became interested in stereotypes and the conventional binary nature of sexual identity. These works have resulted from an investigation of the Muse. where sexuality and stereotypes are subverted to produce sometimes. humorous scenarios, and where the viewer is invited to question stereotypical representations of the human form in art.

These artworks on Fabriano watercolour paper are made with a variety of painting and drawing materials combined with collage.
